RICHMOND PARK.

Is it as wonderful as that, small deer?

Worth scratch of briar?

And drench of dew?

and curious crowds that stare at you,

stepping closer, up and up

to get a better view?

Is it as wonderful as that,small deer?

How few of us 

would count it gain

to kneel within a country lane

before God`s breaking Spring, to kiss

a snowdrop in the rain.
