The German Church is on a preparatory phase of her synodal journey and Pope Francis has written a Letter to share the concerns of his brothers and sisters “for the future of the Church in Germany” (Introduction). Rather than commenting on the pope’s Letter, I limit myself in this article to pointing out some points of style and content for a contextualized and fruitful reading.
