Commentary on the Gospel of
In today’s gospel Jesus tells us to lose life and then we will save life. Deuteronomy admonishes to “choose life”, ad life of compassion. Concern and help towards each other. Jesus through a compassionate love and loving obedience to his Father was brought to the cross. He seemed to lose his life but through his death and resurrection he gave us new life. We will suffer as Christians if we try to be witnessed to the Gospel but we will benefit from this when we share eternal glory.
