Commentary on the Gospel of
God treats us with profound patience. God has been patiently enduring our inconsistencies, our broken promises, our failed resolutions, not least, our wavering faith in Him. God allows this dynamic because He knows that even the worst in us deserves hope. He still believes in our innate goodness despite our imperfections. God gives us countless chances to be better. He forgives our misgivings, accepts our weaknesses and even embraces our wounds. He prods us through His grace so that we can pick ourselves up from the ground where we have fallen. He has sworn to love us.
