Commentary on the Gospel of
“The Kingdom of God is among you.” Many interpretations favor the use of “among you” instead of “within you.” St. Luke gives emphasis on the communitarian dimension of the Kingdom of God. Jesus is not only living in each one of us but also among us. Jesus’ presence is the Kingdom of God, but from the very start the Pharisees become blind to the many wonders of Jesus When we see Jesus’ presence among us in our community, then there’s no need to wait for a spectacular coming of the Kingdom.
