Here we have another narrative of Jesus’ logic versus the current religious logic: how can a messiah sit and eat with sinners? Here we have another clash Jesus’ cause for authentic religiosity versus false religiosity. But in the in this story there is something more: it is manifest that God is on the side to those who need him, to those who share his logic: mercy not sacrifices.
