Commentary on the Gospel of
Jesus compares his coming to the flood during the time of Noah and the destruction of Sodom. But different from the near annihilation of everything, Jesus comes to restore everything according to the original intention of creation. He brings liberation from sin and death, from injustice and oppression. This is the good news that the coming of Jesus brings. As we wait for the coming of the Lord, we continue to make his good news become a reality in our world.
