Commentary on the Gospel of
As Jesus moved from Nazareth to Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali, he brings to fulfilment the prophecy of Isaiah; “The people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen.”
Christ is the light and in his light we discover ourselves, see the face of the other, and encounter the Father. We pray for the courage to welcome Christ into our lives and through him to encounter ourselves, encounter others and find our way to the Father.
