Discerning God’s Will

Knowing God’s Will is no easy work. There are three things we can do: (1) Have the deepest desire to do God’s Will; (2) Do the very best to discern through prayer and spiritual consultation; (3) Surrender totally into God’s hands. The prayer of St. Ignatius of Loyola, a great master in discernment of spirits, can aid us:

“Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,  my memory, my understanding and my entire will, all that I have and call my own.

You have given it all to me. To you, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace,
That is enough for me.”
