Commentary on the Gospel of
Imagery of light and darkness is something we use a lot in church, especially in the liturgy, particularly at the Easter Vigil starting in darkness and lighting the paschal candle. Christ came to lead us into the light and our vocation is to lead others to that light, that knowledge of him. Jesus was very critical of the scribes and Pharisees and doesn’t want us to follow them into the darkness. Let us pray that today we will take the opportunities that come our way to lend a helping hand.
