Commentary on the Gospel of

Fr. George Vayaliparampil, cmf

Today we listen to the words of God addressing Job. The first words of God, though not in today’s reading (38:2), is “who is it that obscures divine plans with ignorant words”. Jesus tells to his disciples “whoever listens to you listens to me and who ever rejects you rejects one who send me”. Are we blocking God’s plan in our lives and in the lives of our loved ones? Do we reject the anointed one of God? Do we reject the voice of God within us - our conscience -, then we are rejecting God himself.
