Commentary on the Gospel of

Fr. George Vayaliparampil, cmf

The last part of the story of Job where he repents and God gives him back everything more than before is presented to us in the First Reading. In the Gospel we listen to Jesus telling to his disciples “...but rejoice because your name is written in heaven”. Today we need to ask few questions to ourselves. In what do I rejoice in power, wealth, or positions? Do I accept my mistakes like Job and ask pardon from my brothers and sisters and God himself? Let us look for eternal happiness over momentary pleasures and may God lead us to that.
