Commentary on the Gospel of

Sid Ching, cmf

Jesus invites himself to the house of Zaccheus, a sinner in the eyes of many. But Jesus does not judge, instead he sees the true goodness of the person. When we judge, we prevent ourselves from seeing; our vision becomes colored by our prejudices and we begin to discriminate. When we withhold judgment, we remain open to the presence of others, even as we too become a way open for them to see God’s presence in us.
