Commentary on the Gospel of
In today’s Gospel reading we encounter Jesus who teaches with authority not as the scribes. He further manifests the power of his word when he rebukes the man with an unclean spirit and commanded the evil spirit to come out of him. It is a rare privilege granted us to encounter Jesus in his word. He comes to us with his authority to heal, comfort and liberate us.
We pray for the grace to dispose our minds and hearts to welcome the word of life, that transforms our situation and reconciles us with the Father.
