Benedict XVI has just published the post-synodal apostolic exhortation "Verbum Domini",  "The Word of God in the life and mission of the Church." It makes a passionate appeal to approach the Scriptures, never forgetting "that the foundation of all authentic Christian spirituality is the living Word of God proclaimed, host, celebrated and pondered in the Church."
